As one of New York City’s premiere – and largest – custom costume studios, we provide an end-to-end solution for custom costume and dressmaking, including custom beading and embroidery, fabric dyeing, costume aging, and tailoring. We also offer comprehensive global sourcing and buying for fabrics and notions, plus production rental space right in our studio.
Our process begins with a conversation to determine the scope of work. We then create an inventory of your needs and an estimate of cost, prioritizing the importance of each costume to the story and the show overall. Once we're underway, we conduct mock-up fittings with muslin, and together assess fabric choices and colors. Following pattern adjustments and final fabric selection, our team cuts, sews and adorns each garment. Second fittings take place before each costume is finished in its entirety and shipped out for the show. Fittings can take place in-house at our studio or at an offsite location.

All custom beading and embroidery is done in-house. Unlike hot-fixing, beads are strung in a labor-intensive process that allows them to move with the fabric and reflect color and light in a way no other process can replicate.
Our large studio gives us room to offer fabric swatching and custom fabric dyeing, which can be used to match fabrics or ensure consistency across costumes.
We provide both local and global shopping and sourcing for fabrics and notions used in our custom costumes.
Our master tailor custom-fits suits and garments and provides costume modifications and customizations.
From one actor to a full cast, we offer comprehensive measurement services, fittings and alterations, whatever the size, scope and location of your project.
We offer two production rental spaces within our 8,200-square-foot Manhattan studio, which can serve as home base for your production team and a place to send and store your rack clothes while in pre-production. Our central location in Manhattan's Flatiron District is ideally suited for shopping and sourcing.
